林子强教授是中国海南省文昌県人,
南京中医大学医学博士、教授。历30年之艰难努力他最终成功促使澳大利亞联邦政府三读通过,全国中医法,並成立了国家中医局,为世界中医药走向西方世界立下汗马功劳並为全球中医立法创下先河。维州议会议长Ken
Smith史密夫先生在中央电视台上更向世界宣称林子强为澳洲中医立法之父。
他曾任RMIT皇家理工大学中医发展委员会主席(1990-1992);
创立了世界西方正規大学第一个中医本科课程,后继任该校中医管委会主席(1992-1996);
澳洲联邦政府副卫生部长药政顾问委员 (2000-2004);
联邦政府互补药物评审委员(1995-2000);
维州政府卫生部长顾问委员会委员(1995-2000);
澳洲州立Casey大专学院校董(1993-1996).
2000年获政府委任为维州首届中医注册局委员。
现任澳洲全国中医药针灸学会联合会会长,
世界中医药学会联合会副主席兼大洋洲主席,
世界中医药标準建设委员会副主席,
世界中医内科标准教材三主编之一(张伯礼院士、吳勉华教授、林子强教授)2004年荣獲澳洲总理及维州州长颁授杰出贡献奖。
2007年在中国人民大会堂獲世界中医药学会颁授
“首屆仁济杯国际中医贡献奖”2013年由国务院及中央电视台评选为2013年中华之光人物,
以表扬他对中医药发展的楷模性贡献。
他自幼喜丹青爱习武,其外祖父罗焕棠公乃清末名医,自少抄习其经方家学,稍长,入太极螳螂拳宗师赵竹溪先生门下,除练武外兼学中医跌打骨伤,并从国画大师张达文教授习丹青,(其作品曾先后入选日本国际水墨画优秀奖,及港澳台五十名家之一)。后随国学大师肖湘先生治石,有医、画、拳三绝才子的雅号。
